Colourpop Eyeshadows NR.2

I've decided to take advantage of the free international shipping promotion and get a few more shades of colourpop eyeshadows, since I liked them so much the last time. Now they have even more super shock eyeshadow shades and pressed eyeshadows too!

Kathleenlights shade, I ended up not using and putting it up for sale.

The perfect nude base "Hear me out"

I got this for my sister, since she said she was looking everywhere for this type of eyeshadow

Telepathy is amazing gold shade with a green tint to it

Eye candy is perfect cool pink tone glitter shade

I'm not gonna lie, I love the shades, but I feel like I've fallen out of love with super shock eyeshadow formula, because for me it lacks lasting power. It is a bit creamy and it travels on my lid into tiny little creases, way faster than usual pressed shadows.

This is how Two much look on my eye. Is is build-able, but comes out a bit patchy.

Since I didn't have any empty magnetic palettes or other eyeshadow pans to create a custom one yet, I got this weird little travel palette online. *Objects in the picture are much cheaper than they appear*

I had hard time with swatches, eventually I just used a bit of primer

I think this is a good representation of what these shades look like. Two much is very unique, because even though it's matte burgundy it has little gold glitters in it. And Going steady is one of the best dark red / burgundy shades I own. I feel like with a dark red base (example: NYX Rust pencil) it would be unbeatable and the most opaque.

In conclusion I'd like to say that this was a good haul. I got 6 eyeshadow for 20$ (free international shipping and 3 eyeshadows for the price of two promotion). It was a great value. Now I'm impatiently waiting until colourpop starts to sell in europe or offer free shipping again, because I have no time to deal with customs. If I had to choose I'd say that Going Steady and Telepathy were my favorites from this haul.

P.S. EDIT: I'm posting the reviews and hauls up to a year later after I've got the products, so in some cases they might be out of stock, discontinued or most likely the offer on them has ended. But this time it's a different case completely. My opinion about the eyshadows has changed. I still think that  supershock formula should not be worn alone, but the pressed eyeshadow has won me over, especially the shade "Going steady". I have recently went on a short vacation and that was one of the 3 eyeshadow shades I decided to take with me. No regrets.

Ebay Makeup Brushes review Nr.3

Yes, I know what you are thinking. Are these Real Techniques Bold Metals brushes? Did you spend a fortune on them?

Oh no baby, relax. Those are the cheap knock off version of them. But they are still absolutely fabulous!!!

They look good, they apply product well, they are easy to clean and they haven't shed or got damaged in any way, during the past year that I was using them. I only wish that the big powder brush was a bit softer, but these are synthetic brushes after all, so I can't expect too much.

I was very curious what was the difference between the real and the fake brushes. Thanks to youtube I have an answer. Please check it out:

I really appreciate that this woman is very fair with her review, she points out that eyeshadow brushes are a bit flimsy, and that the fake brush handles are not made from real metal, but at the end of the video she says what I was thinking all along: The real brushes aren't worth over 200$ and the fake ones that cost me around 8$ (but now could be found on ebay or aliexpress for 5$) are coming very close to real ones in quality.

I fully understand that the concept and design is worth something, that the Chinese manufacturers are ripping that design off, but in reality the only new concept here is that triangle brush, that I found to be the least useful and awkward feeling. The rest of the brushes have very classic shapes with a bit more unique design of metallic color handles. Everything in this life is a copy of a copy of a copy and I don't feel bad buying not so genuine products. After all, the designers and manufacturers of the Real Bold Metals brush collection are making a good profit (selling one brush for 30$, when it probably costs only a dollar to make one) and nobody should feel bad for them. If anything I think that the fact that your product is being counterfeit is the biggest compliment, a sign of success and even advertisement for a real product in a way.

I bought a set of these brushes to my sister and she seems to love them too.  Compared to the pink brush set from ebay that I've written about previously, this one is so much more Worth The Money.

TamBeauty.co Haul NR.1

Yes yes, I've purchased some things from this website before, but this time it's a big order and I wanted to share my first impressions. I have waited long enough for my Makeup Revolution wish list to become lengthy enough, so that I can get free shipping. I mean why spend money on shipping when you can get a full product if not two, for that price.

I Heart Makeup Blushing hearts Blush and Highlight Trio - Iced hearts - 6.98€

I was in a market for a pink blush/highlight and got this.

These are pretty popular online and I just had to know what all the buzz was about.

It is very pretty highlight indeed, but it's more golden than pink.

Makeup Revolution Vivid shimmer Brick - Pink Kiss - 4.21€

I really regretted not getting this the last time I ordered from tambeauty.com

Since I liked the other Shimmer Brick, I got this one, completely different shade. It makes intense highlight, but also perfect eyeshadow.

Makeup Revolution Amazing Lip gloss - Nude Shimmer - 1.39€

Honestly my cart was almost full and very near the free shipping, so I added the cheapest thing to complete it. Breaking news this is one of the best lip glosses I've tried. Nice smell, not sticky, subtle color and low price. Very comparable to Maybelline Baby Lips glosses.

Freedom Makeup London Decadence Palette - Rock & Roll - 7.53€ (I got it on sale for 4.21€)

I also got this to make a free shipping order, I  was hoping to sell this, but my sister talked me into keeping it.

The color selection strongly reminds me of my first ever eyeshadow palette. What a Nostalgia central ...

Makeup Revolution Ultra Eyeshadow Palette - Flawless 4 - 11.21€

This came out not too long after Urban Decay Naked Heat was released. And once more I got a dupe instead of the real thing.

I   love when makeup companies put a little thought into packaging.

I've only tried this once so far, but all I can say is that this palette might be the most pigmented out of all matte palettes I've owned.

Makeup Revolution Soph Eyeshadow Palette - 12.50€

This was the reason I decided to make an order. in the first place. I Love SophDoesNails on youtube and the second she announced this collaboration I knew I had to have it.

I was one of the lucky people to get this before it went out of stock.

I really dig Sophie's taste in makeup, she was one of the people who "talked me into" trying Makeup Revolution and inspired to write a makeup blog.

I am very impressed with the shade selection. Also I feel good about supporting my favorite  content creator for once. I've never felt compelled enough to do that before.

Freedom Makeup 10 Eyeshadow Palette Eye Pro - Future Bright - ?€ (Surprise Free Gift)

I was pleasantly surprised to even get a free gift. Unfortunately I have no intention to use it. Maybe I'll sell it or maybe the time comes when I'll need a neon green shade and I'll be glad to have this. Who knows.

For all of these products I've spent 40.50€. I got free international hipping + surprise gift. All items came undamaged, I am very impressed and satisfied with tambeauty.com.

Products I can't live wothout

Have you ever been heartbroken, because a makeup company discontinued your favorite holy grail product? I sure have been...

I'm not gonna lie, I am kind of a hoarder...  I try to buy the things I love using, before I run out. Usually I'll just wait for a good sale and buy two of the same shampoo, or deodorant, because I know I'll eventually need it. But these are some of the makeup products that I've enjoyed so much, I even bought backups of, even if I'm nowhere near running out of them.

Catrice Camouflage Cream

This is probably my favorite concealer - concealing wise. It is very pigmented and thick, but melts with the touch of the warm fingers easily, unlike some other concealer type products in the same price range. This was one of the first concealers I've tried, and it is still pretty much the best. It is very affordable, only around 3$, it lasts me a long time. For someone who uses concealer daily, but only for problem areas like red spots and under-eyes, it would probably last a whole year. But if you'd try to use it on half of the face, aka The Beauty Guru way, the result would be disappointing and the product would not only perform poorly but also run out fast.

It comes in three shades, this being the lightest and could be found in European drugstores and online.

The only con of this product is that it's thiccc and oily, for someone like me, with a dry/comination skin it works well, but it won't stay on long on nose, chin and forehead, especially in the summer, therefore I wouldn't recommend to use it all over the face.

H&M Setting Powder

Another item I stumbled upon on accident. It was a big sale on H&M  beauty section in my local store and I grabbed the lightest setting powder I can. Original price was 10$ and in my opinion it's not worth that much. But I've tried it, liked it and purchased one more while the sale was still on.

I really like the sleek packaging of H&M makeup

This is by far the lightest shade of powder I've ever owned, which comes in handy when my liquid foundation is too dark.

It is a bit sheer in my opinion. More that adding coverage it is just mattifying. If you want to get this, I have bad news, I'm not sure that it is still on sale. But I might be wrong, I haven't visited H&M in a good while.

Catrice Primer Stick

For me, with primers, sometimes it's hard to say if they even work. One other Catrice primer that I've tried seems to have no effect, but I've heard good things about primer sticks, so when Catrice Travelight Story Limited Edition collection came out, I grabbed it. And I loved it so much, I had to re-purchace it before it went out of stock.

It was fairly inexpensive somewhere around 4$, but it sure makes a difference. It feels very lightweight and moisturizing, dries down fast and gives matte blurred effect. It minimizes and hides my pores really well and makes the liquid foundation go on way smoother.

I'm pretty sure it is not for sale anymore, unless you can find it online somewhere in the depths of ebay. Also some drugstores have old limited edition collections on sale all the time, you'd be surprised  how long some of the products linger in the sale bin. I've found some really great and inexpensive stuff there. If this exact primer stick is unavailable anywhere, don't worry. It's not a unique concept, I'm sure other primer sticks are just as good.

Mitomo Sheet Face Mask

I've got this mask as a present and was very excited to try it. It was during last winter, that my face was feeling extra dry (I have dry skin, yet I get breakouts), so I decided that it was the perfect time to use it.

The feeling of the cold, slimy and slippery sheet on my face was new to me, I've never tried a sheet mask before (I find them a bit too expensive). It smelled very pleasant, not too overpowering and the sheet was completely drenched with the serum. On the package it is written that the mask has Hyaluronic acid and Lithospemum in it and is suited for all skin types.

I kept it on for recommended 20 to 30 minutes, my skin absorbed some of the serum, but a lot of it was still left. I tried to massage as much of it into my skin as possible, to really use the most of it, I kept it on my face, but a few hours later my skin was feeling a little too sticky, I found it annoying and distracting, so I washed it off, thinking that my skin absorbed the most it can anyway and the leftover serum must be just drying out.

I've read other people's reviews on this mask and it seemed to leave everyone satisfied. I rarely am negative about a product, on this occasion too I can't say anything bad. But at the same time I can't say anything good either.

Did my face feel good during and after the application of the mask? YES
Did I see any real changes to my skin a day or a week after using the mask? NO
Would I try the mask again? PROBABLY NOT (not worth the money, even if it's only 2$)

I might be wrong, making an assumption about a product after only one use, but I believe that first impression is often the most important one, especially when it is about a beauty product. Maybe my skin wasn't bad enough and really didn't need that much help, hence the no real results, or maybe like most spa treatments, it is more about the experience that the actual effects.

I'd recommend this mask for people who have a headache or want to feel better about their skin. The cold feeling on the face might take the headache away and you'll feel like you've done something nice for your skin for once.
